Dot Esports, the premier destination for esports and gaming coverage online, is looking for full-time writers to join our news desk. Interested candidates should have in-depth knowledge of at least one of the listed games or esports and must be comfortable writing guides about a variety of other gaming franchises and new releases. You may also be expected to write news articles, reviews, features, and more. This is a great opportunity to cover the games you love while working with one of the best teams in esports and gaming. Applicants should be self-starters who are eager to learn and respond well to constructive criticism. We’re a global, digital newsroom full of enthusiastic individuals!
Responsibilities:
- Help to create guides and strategic content for your core beat
- Work with editors to develop pitches
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories
- Follow trending topics through Google Trends, social media, YouTube, and streaming platforms
- In-depth knowledge of one of the following games or esports:
- Call of Duty
- FIFA / EA Sports FC
- VALORANT
- AAA releases
- Pokémon
- Trading Card Games
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in the writing industry
- SEO knowledge
- Someone open-minded and positive
Salary range: £25,000 to £28,000 GBP per year, depending skills, location, and experience.
