Job Description

For this role as an E-Learning Intern, you will:

  • Collaborate with Renaissance Learning stakeholders/subject matter experts to determine target audience’s needs, performance goals, and project timelines. 
  • Assist with designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating e-learning content utilizing Successive Approximation Model (SAM) methodology for instructional design projects 
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling content that enhances retention and transfer 
  • Assist with the development of digital assets that enhance the learning process (audio, video, simulations etc.) 
  • Insert and configure content within a Learning Management System (LMS), applying properties accurately that determine how the content is rendered. 
  • Utilize the LMS to store course curriculum, capture program registration, and run reports on attendee completion status 
  • Assist with training evaluation and analysis of multiple levels of training feedback including satisfaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change and impact on business 
  • Keep current with trends, best practices, new technologies, and emerging innovations in the learning and development sphere and implement solutions that develop talent 
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of UX/UI leadership 

Qualifications

For this role as a E-Learning Intern, you should:

  • Have 1-2 years’ experience with adult learning, instructional design, professional development, curriculum development 
  • Be currently enrolled in art, design, instructional design, or related program at an accredited college or university, or a recent graduate with a degree in a related field. 
  • Have ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Have ability to prioritize appropriately and adapt to change 
  • Have visual design skills and ability to storyboard 
  • Have experience working in screencast, animation and eLearning development tools 
  • Have ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, taking direction and feedback from team members. 
  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. 
  • Have strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present ideas clearly and effectively. 
  • Have passion for education and a deep understanding of how illustrations can enhance the learning experience. 

Bonus Points:  

  • Experience working in a Learning Management System 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Captivate, After Effects, and/or Premiere 
  • Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint

Wage: $25/hour, 40 hours a week, for approximately 10 weeks.
