Freebird is looking for its first in-house eCommerce UX Designer to drive the digital transformation of the Freebird website and digital shopping experience. The eCommerce UX Designer will champion design-led approaches, and create intuitive, user-centric and memorable digital experiences. We need an innovator who will solve complex problems and drive new initiatives and changes in a highly engaged, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of conceptualizing and delivering impactful digital experiences that cater to user needs and drive business results. This position will report to the Director of eCommerce.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Craft the vision for a disruptive and immersive online experience across the Freebird digital shopping experience, delivering seamless and personalized customer experiences that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Take a hands-on approach to design by creating wireframes and designing mockups that align with our brand identity and deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a user-centered design strategy to ensure seamless user journeys, easy browsing, and simplified check out process.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to inform design decisions, continually improving core metrics and optimizing customer engagement, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and user interviews to gain insights into customer preferences and pain points.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from eCom, marketing, product, creative and development teams to define project goals, requirements, and scope, ensuring platforms meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Advocate for user experience with design thinking within the organization, promoting a user-first culture and fostering a strong customer-centric approach across all stakeholder teams.
  • Ensure that all site experiences are ADA compliant.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UX and web design with a track record of successfully improving business performance through optimizing online shopping experiences based off customer research and usability.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Experience in eCommerce and/or Direct to Consumer Web & Landing Page design on Shopify.
  • Proficiency with an A/B testing platform like Convert.com and analytic platforms like Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in aligning front-end development and UX principles, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with at all levels of the organization and present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; able to handle multiple projects, set priorities and meet tight deadlines
