POSITION SUMMARY:
ODG supports workers’ comp, disability, and auto liability claims and medical management with unbiased, evidence-based guidelines that unite payers, providers, and employers in their efforts to confidently and effectively return people to health. This role contributes to updates of ODG content solutions including meeting established milestones, deadlines, and quality goals as well as writing new guidelines as needed. Specific tasks include evidence search, writing, editing, and quality control. In addition, this role supports mission critical projects as assigned and collaborates with other CARE Team members regarding education, training, and special cycle projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
GUIDELINE DEVELOPMENT
- Planning – participate in content planning
- Evidence search – expert use of tools and systems for identification of new clinical literature and other evidence and its retrieval in concert with non-clinical MCG employees
- Writing – expert use of tools and systems for guideline writing, contribute to product updating and upgrading
- Editing – editing for specific assignments
- Quality control – responsibility for content of specific assignments
BUSINESS AND MARKETING
- Advisory role providing input to other Editors, Managing Editors, and Editor-in-Chief on all external issues
- Participate at annual Client Forum as assigned
- Participate in sales meetings as appropriate
- Participate in market research as appropriate
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
- Participate and facilitate team approach to future product planning
- Clinical resource for information regarding new content, for non-clinical MCG employees as appropriate
- Present at MCG seminars, Client Forum, and other meetings as assigned
TRAVEL
- Attend on-site meetings as required (e.g. annual CARE Team retreat and team planning meeting)
- Participate in new hire training in first year
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of five years in case management, with experience in workers compensation utilization review, case management, or occupational health
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, and professionally in English
- Ability to work with a variety of software tools/applications including MS Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
Required Licensure/Certifications/Registrations/Permits:
- Active, current, unrestricted professional nursing license (i.e., RN or ARNP) from a state or territory of the United States
- BSN or advanced degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience
- Familiarity with ODG by MCG solution
- Familiarity with evidence-based medicine and critical appraisal techniques
- Case management or workers compensation certification
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Flexibility to work on concurrent projects with little oversight
- Adaptability to tailor writing style to different audiences and purposes
- Team building and interpersonal skills

Pay Range: $119,500– $167,300
