Job Description

Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with tax issues, tax credits and incentives including the Employee Retention Tax Credit, and resolving claim disputes with the IRS on behalf of clients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Assist in managing specific client relationships
  • Manage active client projects which includes project deadlines, staffing, billing, etc.
  • Support client serving teams with tax consulting and guidance
  • Research technical tax issues related to client fact patterns
  • Help clients identify, assess, and secure tax refunds
  • Provide federal and state audit support services
  • Engage with federal, state, and local taxing authorities to follow up on and/or resolve client matters
  • Identify, and manage tax risk in a thoughtful, wise, and logical manner
  • Quickly grasp new concepts and learn a new business

What your background looks like:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to think critically in complex situations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, take initiative and prioritize multiple work items
  • Ability to remain flexible and comfortable with ambiguity within a very demanding and constantly changing environment
  • Comfortable presenting to clients on complicated payroll tax matters
  • Experience managing transformative initiatives
  • Proven ability to manage client tax deadlines
  • Experience analyzing data, client workpapers, and tax forms
  • Comfortable with tax legislation, IRS rules/regulations, and general tax research
