Email Marketing Business Analyst
Location: Culver City, CA
Can be remote but must be able to work UK timezone.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced email marketing professional who is passionate about technology and supporting data-driven marketing & innovation. Our ideal candidate is a "hands-on type problem solver who takes pride in programming highly visible marketing campaigns and organizing the process. The email marketing business analyst will work closely with our clients to help coordinate many moving parts of day-to-day execution of email marketing campaigns for clients. Including: client releasing international releases and supporting B2B email marketing users to troubleshoot issues.
Responsibilities
- Work with individual client releasing business units, to build and launch email campaigns with heavy emphasis on technical set-up & execution
- Email deployment and scheduling in SalesForce Marketing Cloud against several high priority deadlines
- Coordinate with digital marketing teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and flawless campaign executions. Includes: reviewing production work flow, legal compliance, and QA.
- Maintain master email production calendar, processes & reporting
- Great attention to detail and pride in work
- Perform post-campaign analysis on weekly/monthly as well as ad-hoc basis for ISG customers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and monitor email marketing benchmarks, trends, best practices, and industry competition
- Support and solve questions and issues by several Salesforce Marketing Cloud users
- Special projects as assigned including working with IT Development Resources, vendors, cross functional teams and Email Marketing Executive Director
- This is not a strategic role
Email Marketing Analyst Requirements
- BS/BA
- 1-3 years of experience in email marketing campaign coordination and execution.
- Working hours are UK local time 9:00am-6:00pm hybrid (on-site and remote)
- Organized with the ability to handle multiple projects at a time. Has a strong sense of urgency, is able to prioritize requests, and can make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excels in customer service and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Has an understanding of Email Marketing Best Practices, GDPR, CAN-SPAM Laws. HTML/CSS, and Photoshop experience preferred.
- Equipped with extreme attention to detail and a strong sense of quality control. Has prior experience with QA & User Acceptance Testing.
- Experience working with enterprise and/or scalable cloud-based ESPs (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud) highly preferred.
- Comfortable working with data sets, data extracts, data automation, data encryption, and FTP clients
- Passionate about movies, TV shows, technology and/or experience in the media & entertainment industry a plus
- Enjoys collaboration with diverse teams & stakeholders. Able to traverse seamlessly to-and-from marketing & IT functions as well as communication of high level concepts to detailed user stories & technical requirements.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and a fast-paced changing environment
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. JIRA experience a plus.
- Ability to dive in and find answers to questions that may not yet be documented
- Create and deploy multiple email campaigns per week
