Engineering Manager
Property Meld is looking for an engineering manager with experience leading high-performing teams.
Our mission is to radically improve how the property management industry handles property maintenance. If you've ever had a maintenance issue when renting, you know how much of a pain it can be to get it fixed quickly and reliably. It doesn't have to be this way. We’re rethinking the entire property maintenance experience from the ground up with two things in mind – first, driving the cost of doing maintenance to the absolute minimum, and second, providing an experience to residents and property owners that makes them want to stay with their property manager, not leave. At Property Meld, you’ll have the opportunity to directly impact our user base by building applications that are solving real problems. About the role
You'll lead a team of engineers to deliver everything from features to infrastructure improvements. Since we're a still a small but growing engineering organization, your team will own a large area of the codebase and it's backing infrastructure. We are a startup, so you'll have a high degree of autonomy with correspondingly high expectations. While the role is people leadership, you should have strong technical abilities that inform your decision-making. You should have a track record of leading and building teams and be skilled at prioritization and balancing short-term and long-term objectives.
What you’ll do
- Empower and drive your team to deliver high-quality software at a high velocity
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks within your team
- Recruit and develop top software engineers
- Improve and create lightweight processes to help your team be productive
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure successful product launches
- Create and implement long-term strategies that align with the company's vision
- Work closely with product management on scoping and building high-quality features

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of people management experience
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Clear and concise communicator (written and verbal)
- Ability to create effective plans that reduce risk and maximize resources
Here’s What You Can Earn
The salary range for this role is $130,000.00-$190,000.00 annually DOE.
