Job Description

  • Lead the engineering team that are responsible for the delivery of solutions within your respective squad
  • This is a backend focused role and would highly regard candidates who have experience with either Kotlin or Java
  • Be a custodian for what the team ship into our customer environments and take ownership in resolving any support related issues
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing and practicing good engineering practises and habits in consultation with the extended Engineering Team
  • Work with teams, as a subject matter expert, to develop roadmaps, to define delivery goals and to achieve them within agreed timelines
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders business-wide
  • Collaborate with the data, product and design teams to ensure that we can deliver solutions to our customers to support them building on top of the GROW platform
  • Provide and demonstrate people leadership to direct reports to drive delivery excellence and alignment to Grow’s culture and behaviors.
  • Support your team’s recruitment needs, as well as working with Head of Engineering on capacity planning 
  • Prepare and pro-actively participate in regular 1:1s for direct reports
  • Lead the team with authenticity, role modeling our values to inspire with passion
  • Proactively own development as a leader and specialist including the development of future leaders within the function
  • Role model a commitment to continually evolving our risk culture as a differentiator for our people and client
