PatientIQ is looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead / Engineering Manager who can lead the development of an early-stage data offering from inception to launch (0-1) and through the entire product lifecycle. As a member of the PatientIQ team, you will partner with a Product Manager and your team of engineers, to create a new core parts of our platform.

What You'll Work On
- PatientIQ Data Platform: enable enrichment, normalization, and benchmarking of patient outcomes data to power enhanced insights and predictive capabilities.
- PatientIQ Network: build the largest peer network for healthcare providers to collaborate, share de-identified data, and investigate rare diseases and novel techniques to push the boundaries of medicine
- Analytics Autopilot: advance the capabilities of our analytics engine to offer more sophisticated predictions, data visualizations, and insights
- 3rd Party Integrations: grow our library of 3rd party integrations, including electronic medical records, wearables, and other healthcare partners
- Scaling: refactor existing systems and optimize the platform for scaling and increasing data flow

Requirements
Role Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of 3-5 engineers and associated agile rituals like standups, planning, and retrospectives.
- Align your team around product OKRs/KPIs that you jointly focus on driving.
- Work with product managers and designers to build and realize new product features.
- Report on project statuses to the company.
- Perform peer code reviews to ensure the team is producing well-tested and maintainable code.
- Evangelize our software development best practices within the team.
- Active development with proper test coverage
- Support and optimize our critical production environment.
What we look for:
- 5+ years of experience building web applications.
- 2+ years of experience leading multi-person projects in some capacity.
- 1+ years of experience in some form of leading, mentoring, or managing engineers.
- 2+ years of first-hand professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience working with clinical data, including a strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and interoperability challenges.
- Experience building modern, external (customer-facing) data products. Thorough understanding of data engineering concepts.
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment: interactions with the leadership team, product managers, and customer success teams.
