Evergreen Writer
Android Authority, part of the Authority Media group, is looking for experienced and well-informed freelancers that are experts in their eld and want to share their knowledge with our audience of millions of readers per month.
We're looking to fill several freelance evergreen writing roles, covering best list creation and maintenance, regular updating of existing content, and new content creation in a variety of product categories and content types:
- Smartphones (primarily Android but some iOS)
- Smart home/IoT
- Streaming (primarily TV/movies but some music)
- Accessories (mobile, computing, gaming, and more)
- Android apps
You'd primarily be writing about the above in one or more of the following areas of the site:
- Best lists
- Versus comparisons
- How-to content
- Evergreen explainers
There may also be opportunities for product reviews and features/long-form for the right candidate. If you have demonstrable writing experience in and formidable knowledge about one or more of the topics above, we'd love to hear from you. Please let us know in your application which areas you consider yourself a true expert in and why, and what types of writing experience you have. Note: only experienced candidates with a minimum of three years' worth of recent relevant industry experience will be considered.
You must have a strong command of written American English, perfect grammar, an excellent eye for detail, knowledge of the U.S. market, a passion to share your knowledge with the world, and a collaborative team spirit. Experience with EEAT and WordPress, building topical authority, and SEO are highly preferable. If you have these qualities and more, what are you waiting for?!

Flexible hours/workload – pathways to part- or full-time are possible for the right candidate
Job description: Research, develop, and produce high-quality and authoritative content — from ideation to publication — in a timely manner, often under tight deadlines
Pitch topics and tackle assigned tasks with diligence, accuracy, and professionalism
Coordinate with Managing Editor on topics, schedules, and priorities
Requirements:
- Professional writing experience
- Knowledge of, or willingness to adapt to, AP writing style
- Deep understanding of one or more of the topics mentioned above
- An ability to adapt to Android Authority's preferred style, tone, and article length
- Familiarity with WordPress and basic understanding of html
Nice-to-haves:
- An ability to take original photos to accompany articles, if required.
- A willingness to write about multiple topics across various content types
- SEO knowledge
