Expert Product Manager - Network APIs

Why this role matters

The Expert Product Manager for Network API’s is responsible for launching new network APIs from start to finish. This includes defending the customer-facing API requirements, working with our Communications Service Provider partners to integrate their capabilities into our products, and ensuring the full lifecycle of the product from ideation to implementation.

What you'll do:

Market Research & Customer Interface

  • Work closely with key user groups and customer segments to understand their needs, devise workable solutions and help drive product/feature implementation focused on our APAC, EMEA, LTAM and NA customer’s needs to enable seamless enablement and onboarding of our Enterprise customers
  • Work with prospective customers and sales teams on opportunity analysis, proposal development, and bids to address specific customer requirements.
  • Understand local competition in each of the regions, devise strategy, process, tooling to execute and meet customer needs
  • Work with key CSPs to bring new capabilities to our customers.

Product Life Cycle Management

  • Analyze potential product solutions, including product structures, pricing scenarios, unique differentiators, and other information to define and justify a new product.
  • Negotiate feature content with various organizations, including development engineering, operations, marketing and peers in product management.
  • Collect and drive requirements for developer dashboards and tools, features to fulfill unique needs of regions. 
  • Spearhead critical cross-functional initiatives for product development, launch, and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Develop or contribute to the development of significant product collateral – FAQ documentation, white papers, and customer success stories.
  • Provide an amazing developer experience by writing intuitive documentation, tutorials, and sample applications. 

Go-to-Market & Revenue Generation

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Business Operations to develop and drive product-specific go-to-market strategies.
  • Define partnering strategy with resellers, system integrators, and complementary technology suppliers.
  • Determine the most effective packaging, pricing, and positioning for products; work with product marketing to develop product messaging.

What you'll bring

  • Domain expertise in CpaaS platforms and network APIs and services.
  • Solid working knowledge of the technical and process characteristics and advantages of Vonage products and services.
  • Advanced proficiency with the technical elements of product design, development, and application.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering and executing a product vision in high-technology settings.
  • Solid inbound product management skills with the ability to project manage and execute.
  • Understanding of the competitive and upcoming technology landscape.
  • Ability to:
  1. Develop solutions to complex technical, process, and end-user application issues.
  2. Work across all phases of the software development lifecycle. 
  3. Articulate investment requirements to make features or products successful in the market.
  4. Lead presentations and conversations with clients.
  5. Gather client requirements and identify underlying business problems.

What is required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in product management in a high-technology setting.
  • Experience with mobile operator network capability exposure.

Preferred 

Master’s Degree.
