About the role

As we continue our ambitious growth, we are now looking to bring onboard our first Finance Lead. You are a fantastic & pragmatic person bringing a mix of FP&A, business analysis and high growth startup experience to our team. You will be in a unique position to influence & drive strategic decisions for both short-term and long-term planning for our business model, GTM strategy, operating expenditures and resource allocation.

What youโ€™ll do here

  • Reporting and analysis, surfacing actionable business insights (management accounts, board packs, OKRs, variance to budget, KPI sheet etc.)
  • Business operations (agreeing budgets, managing cost lines, implementing operational efficiencies, collaborating with team leads to improve GTM efficiency)
  • Strategy setting (Sequencing steps to achieve broader vision, setting OKRs)
  • Stakeholder management (pack syncs, investor updates, board meetings etc.)
  • Financial and regulatory compliance (across all geographies and both tech & veterinary)

What experience youโ€™ll need for this role

  • Start-up experience, from seed / A level to C, with an emphasis on early stage pragmatism and willingness to get hands โ€œdirtyโ€ - ideally experience within a high volume, small transaction-size company.
  • A passion for data-driven insights. Ability to create strategic plans for data management and analysis. Excellent analytical skills. SQL experience preferred.
  • Strong experience partnering with the business stakeholders to drive efficient resource allocation across the company.
  • You are a qualified accountant in either the US or UK with a Financial Planning & Analysis background. 
  • Familiarity with accounting rules and regulatory requirements across US & UK
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant systems and tooling (e.g Xero, GSuite, etc.)
  • Operational experience e.g. resolving issues related to credit cards, banking, KYC etc.
