Valsoft is hiring for a Qualified Accountant to join the team and play a mission-critical role in helping to shape and develop of several companies. The Qualified Accountant is responsible for driving all financial activities within our subsidiaries.

Part-Time (50%) or Full-Time

The successful candidate can be based anywhere within Germany from either one of our offices or from home!

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Fully responsible for AR / AP / month end
  • Perform financial period close tasks and complex journal entries/accounting analysis
  • Perform Balance Sheet analysis and reviews, including reconciliations of accounts (including review of the reconciliations done by the junior accountants)
  • Preparing financial KPIs and reviewing for accuracy
  • Participate in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements
  • Prepare ad-hoc performance analysis and management reporting
  • Assist in financial integration for new acquisitions
  • Perform variance analysis of actual results vs. financial plans (budgets and forecasts)
  • Participate in special projects

About You:

  • CCAB-qualified accountant or equivalent with at least 5 years post qualification experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is desirable
  • Perform financial period close tasks and complex journal entries/accounting analysis
  • Perform Balance Sheet analysis and reviews, including reconciliations of accounts (including review of the reconciliations done by the junior accountants)
  • Preparing financial KPIs and reviewing for accuracy
  • Participate in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements
  • Prepare ad-hoc performance analysis and management reporting
  • Assist in financial integration for new acquisitions
  • Perform variance analysis of actual results vs. financial plans (budgets and forecasts)
  • Participate in special projects
  • Proficiency, both written and verbal, in German and English is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in Germany
