Financial Analyst/Specialist
ABOUT THE ROLE
Teikametrics is looking for a Financial Analyst/Specialist to join the global Finance Team. The Financial Analyst/Specialist will be responsible for owning all aspects of AP transaction processing including purchase orders, expense reports, vendor invoices and corporate credit card transactions at Teikametrics. Responsibilities will also include AP reporting, accruals, cash forecasting, account reconciliations, interfacing with vendors and responding to inquiries. This person must maintain complete and accurate records, provide prompt, courteous responses to vendor and employee inquiries, and be able to work independently.
This individual will also support the broader US Financial Team by assisting with projects, systems and reporting on an ad hoc basis. There will be a number of opportunities to take on lateral projects across the Finance Team, allowing this individual the opportunity to deepen and strengthen their Financial experience and expertise.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
• Perform all aspects of vendor accounts payable management (routing invoices for approval, entering invoices, payment processing for invoices, and ensuring timely payments to vendors )
• Ensure proper coding, documentation and approvals for all expense transactions
• Manage vendor inbox and communicate with vendors, along with reconciling and investigation vendor discrepancies
• Setup bank wires and electronic payments to vendors Confirm vendor bank details following company fraud prevention guidelines
• Review, process and reimburse employee expense reports in line with company guidelines
• Manage corporate credit card administration and account reconciliations
• Develop and enforce Company Procurement and Travel & Expense Policies
• Develop standard weekly reporting and metrics on outstanding payable balances to monitor and forecast
• Weekly cash outflow and assist in working capital management
• Prepare account reconciliations for AP and accrual accounts
• Focus on improving and automating AP process while ensuring effective controls
Accounting Analyst Responsibilities:
• Support senior accountant and accounting manager during month end financial close- recording bank activity, preparing journal entries, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Responsible for supporting weekly reporting along with monthly financial close
• Perform ad hoc analysis and assist accounting team with complex tasks and requests when needed
• Collect and analyze quantitative data to develop relevant reports to facilitate cost reductions
• Partner with finance leadership to develop and drive in-depth financial analysis, identifying key drivers, trends, variances, emerging risks and opportunities
WHO YOU ARE
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 2-3 years experience in Accounts payable or Accounting related role (2+ years of Accounts Payable experience)
• Significant analytical skill set, including the utilization of BI/Excel and reporting tools to build complex reports/models
• Familiarity with Quickbooks and NetSuite are a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
