Financial Reporting Expert

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our Financial Team as a Financial Reporting Expert. The role is a remote position that can be based in Poland or Ukraine. As a Financial Reporting Expert, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and transparency of our financial reporting processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to produce accurate financial statements, facilitate external audits, and drive improvements in our reporting systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Prepare financial statements (quarterly, annual) and prepare the relevant disclosures.
  • Support the annual external audit of the financial statements.
  • Organize, supervise, and monitor the closing of the reporting periods and coordinate with other departments.
  • Analyze the performance of accounting systems and identify possible improvements.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining new report templates, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the business systems team, including configuration of financial reporting tool.
  • Assist with the implementation of controls and process design around financial reporting.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of database information and formatting.
  • Escalate issues to the appropriate decision-maker.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and other reports, as needed.

Required hard skills:

  • Work experience as a financial manager/financial controller/auditor no less than 5-6 years at a level not lower than A2 in Big4.
  • MS Excel - advanced level
  • Knowledge of accounting, tax and management accounting, and document management principles. (IFRS/US GAAP would be an advantage).
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842
  • Reporting: preparation of a transformation table and financial statement forms (BS, PL, CF direct/indirect, SOCE) with all disclosures.
  • Accounting: understanding of double entry posting, accounting principles, active/passive accounts, accounting principles for income and expenses accounting, and adjustments posting.
  • Ability to analyze databases of various formats, such as sales, purchases, salaries, and other databases.
