The Role:

Halcyon’s goal is to deliver an anti-ransomware solution that breaks new ground as to what a security product can deliver. Aligned with this goal, Halcyon is looking for an experienced UI developer and software engineer to contribute to our Cloud Engineering Team and specifically the user interface for the Halcyon anti-ransomware solution. Our cloud applications, including the user interface, provide our customers with visibility into the activity across their fleet of deployed endpoints and allow them to take action across the fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • Technology Proficiency: Implement solutions and workflows for our users using Next.js 14+, Vercel, React 18+, Node 20+, MUI v5, and MUI-X v6.
  • Automated Testing: Implement automated tests of your code using Playwright
  • Collaboration with Design and Product Teams: Work closely with designers and product managers. Align UI design with product vision and user needs, ensuring consistency across platforms.
  • Interface with Backend Teams: Coordinate with API and backend developers. Ensure that UI components and backend services are seamlessly integrated, focusing on API usability and user experience.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Continuously explore new techniques and tools to improve UI design and development processes. Encourage innovation within the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience building enterprise quality user interfaces with React
  • Ability to collaborate with designers and product managers to create the best user experience possible

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Next.js and Vercel
  • Experience with React Server Components and React Server Actions
  • Experience writing end to end tests for web applications
  • Experience with MUI and MUI-X
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure

Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000

Bonus Target: 10%

In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, the range provided is Halcyon’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity in the Company.
