We are looking for a Tech Lead to lead our Frontend Team to success. At GRID you'll be working on both existing services but also greenfield services to extend our product offering. As a Tech Lead at GRID you'll be a pivotal member helping to shape the technologies we use to provide world class services to game developers and data consumers.
What you will do
- Build greenfield mission-critical services and expand the reliability of existing ones. Our services range from real time data visualizations to live video, to user management
- Manage a team of dedicated and passionate engineers, carrying out managerial processes, aiding in its growth and working to ensure the team is working well together
- Shape & build beautiful real time dashboards and tooling based, relied upon by the world’s leading esports teams
- Help shape GRID's technological landscape together with experienced colleagues
- Lead architectural discussions, providing feedback to coworkers and ensuring good practices. At GRID we appreciate feedback from all disciplines regardless of the topic at hand.
- Work closely together with product stakeholders to communicate progress and considerations effectively
- Provide mentoring and coaching to direct reports, support them to grow and further develop in their careers
- Be part of the glue at GRID working with other engineering team members and leaders to help produce great solutions to problems being solved
- Help to set and follow standards for our software development lifecycle and programming languages we use
Job requirements
Your skills will include
- Deep understanding of Typescript, React, GraphQL, Websockets and real time streaming
- An appreciation of BE technologies and languages such as microservices, GoLang, Kotlin, Kubernetes.
- An ability to critically analyze all systems that make up developing and maintaining software systems and make meaningful improvements.
- Ability to critically analyze the software development lifecycle and make meaningful improvements.
- Collaboration within and outside your team to identify and fix technical problems
- Ambition to build robust, high-quality mission-critical systems, leveraging the power of:
- Automated testing
- Automated monitoring and alerting
- CI/CD infrastructure
- Past management experience
- Experience with real time technologies
- A good product and technical mindset being able to analyze users' needs and then finding applications to serve them
- Ability to think on your feet to identify and implement solutions in challenging situations
