Full Stack Developer
The Role
When: asap - starting 01st May
Where: Software start-up Autowhale GmbH
Location: remote-first (company based in Vienna, Austria; UTC+1/2, intl. Team)
Compensation: 2000€/month, part-time equivalent - ~20hrs/week, equity-options etc. to be negotiated;
Autowhale [autowhale.net] is a lean and dynamic company at the forefront of building digital asset trading infrastructure. We're seeking a talented and creative Full Stack Developer to join our start-up and grow with us incl. the explicit prospect of becoming Lead-Dev/CTO eventually. Responsibilities
- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of digital asset trading software & development of new features/algorithms
- Collaborate in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Conduct research to identify new opportunities for development and improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in FinTech, constantly educating yourself, learning new skills, and honing existing ones
Requirements
- Min. 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Excellent proficiency in Python and good Flask, Git, with a basic understanding of Java Spring
- Good understanding of software architecture, micro-services, processes and threading, MongoDB, algorithms & data structures, relational databases, REST endpoints, and web sockets
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS), DevOps, Deployment
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, high level of flexibility and reliability (work is mostly done remote), ability to meet tight deadlines, collaborate, innovate and communicate within a team, as well as the ability to complete tasks autonomously
- Ability to work and communicate proactively, solve problems autonomously, and come up with new ideas, concepts and solutions proactively
- Fluency in English mandatory (written and spoken - company language = English!)
Bonus Points For
- Experience with financial markets, especially Crypto (+DeFi)
- Familiarity with high-frequency/algorithmic trading/quantitative finance
- Experience with web3.js, Solidity or other smart contract languages
- Proficiency in C++ or Rust
- Experience leading small teams of developers
