About the Role
Casetext is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our growing Engineering organization. You will work with our Applications team to build out the latest in legal tech applications. In this role, you will help design, build, and test applications for both customers and internal users. Our ideal candidate is someone who has received a CS/EE/Computer Engineering degree with a few years of professional experience building applications used by real customers, is an exceptional communicator and fast learner, and wants to join an exciting and growing startup in a full stack developer capacity. This role is entirely remote, but you must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S.
As the Full Stack Engineer You Will:
- Design, test, and develop the software to meet user needs
- Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs
- Work as an active member of a small engineering team to build and support our SaaS products
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team members at many levels, including those in Product Management, Customer Service, Design, and more
About You:
- Javascript experience is a must - basic server side experience (creating/working with APIs)
- Experience building complex web systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Team player; Open to give and receive constructive feedback
- Experienced in communicating with users, other technical teams, including management, to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines
- Can thrive in a fasted paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with modern client javascript frameworks, like React, Vue, Angular
- Experience with backend development, writing/interacting with APIs, NodeJS
- Can conduct self sufficient testing without QA team
- Knows how to work with databases
- Quick learner
- Ideally has a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree with 1-3 years professional experience. If coming from a bootcamp or self taught background, professional experience is a must.
- Legal tech experience is a nice to have, but not a requirement
Salary Range: $115-$135K
