We’re looking for a Global Editorial Manager to support one of our top clients, the global social media COE within the Microsoft Cloud Marketing organization. This relatively new, highly visible team helps prioritize, organize, localize, and program social content for Microsoft solutions and communities across the world. This team is on a mission to ensure the Microsoft brands and products are represented consistently, accurately, creatively, and relevantly to all key audiences and stakeholders. 

This specific global editorial role will

  • Build monthly editorial calendars for the regions and evolve the calendars based on feedback
  • Ensure all assets needed for the monthly calendar are wrangled and ready for localization
  • Build and manage weekly and monthly editorial communications
  • Prepare briefing documents for key moments and special campaigns
  • Manage a document of editorial guardrails to guide content selection for regions
  • Help to quickly resolve any localization needs with loc team
  • Support first drafts of comms and artifacts
  • Support gathering changes to playbooks across the team
  • Keep ROB documents up to date based on updates in the model

The ideal candidate has impeccable attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the desire to accomplish daily tasks in a timely manner with strong focus and follow-through. This role offers opportunities to interact with global marketers and partners, develop richer data and asset management expertise, and contribute to the success of one of the world’s top social media publishers, publishing multiple social media posts each year, leveraging localization / languages, globally.

Would you like to…

  • Support the global to regional editorial strategy
  • Manage the editorial content selections for global to regional editorial content selections and partner closely with Ops teams who drives tooling
  • Support in driving evaluation of regional editorial cascades and optimizations of the process with various corporate and field partners
  • Integrate across Microsoft social teams and commercial cloud social teams to identify upcoming social content and campaigns for regional commercial audiences
  • Build editorial regional guidance for how to leverage assets, campaigns, and new messaging globally
  • Development a grid around localization content from CTA perspective and cascade to regional marketing partners
  • Drive editorial model development around speed to market for how Microsoft handles news, announcements, and events in partnership with Ops partners
  • Own communications strategy in partnership with Microsoft sponsor including daily/weekly/monthly roundups, marketing share outs
  • Support the Global Demand Center’s Modern Marketing Playbook to provide updated materials/comms
  • Partner with Microsoft sponsor to set strategy and outline the ROB for the global social operating model
  • Partner closely with the Programming and Publishing teams that manage content intake via internal tools.
  • Further develop and implement best practices through learnings.
  • Ensure alignment with established copy and creative best practices, accessibility standards, and the Microsoft Style Guide
  • Handle field communications with stakeholders via email and meetings to make suggested content revisions and adjustments.
  • Partner with social media team members and stakeholders to provide tactical guidance and education on the editorial management process

What you bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in social media editorial experience
  • Experience working in a global environment with a large or enterprise organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 5+ years’ business experience
  • Familiarity in the B2B sales process and content strategy
  • A customer service mindset when working with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
  • Experience with Sprinklr or similar tech
  • Microsoft experience a plus
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively across integrated teams.
  • You are comfortable working remotely.

Compensation Range: $110,000 - $120,000

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
