Based on your experience and pragmatism, you will be razor focused on efficiently delivering success and availability to our ever growing customer base with a highly motivated team.

As the Head of Global Cloud Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and growth of our SaaS business on the Microsoft Azure platform. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our cloud infrastructure, optimizing performance, and driving operational excellence. If you’re passionate about cloud technologies, strategic planning, and leading high-performing teams, this role is for you!

You will report into the COO and will work closely with the Global Support Manager Global Process Manager and Global Manager Professional Services, your own Cloud Ops team and internal operational departments (Cloud Infra, Product, Sales and Development). You will work closely with the Head of Cloud Infrastructure to drive innovation and performance of the Cloud environment.

So, what will you be doing? These are your key responsibilities: 

  1. Provide (technical) leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams: lead by example;
  2. Responsible for defining the cloud operations strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategy, architecture and best practices;
  3. Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization, all while implementing cost-effective solutions that maintain high availability;
  4. Ensuring the design, development and implementation of highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure;
  5. Work closely with Azure service providers and vendors to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure service-level agreements(SLAs) are met;
  6. Optimize performance and drive operational excellence by identifying areas for process improvement and automation within cloud operations;
  7. Responsible for overseeing, managing, and administering Microsoft Azure cloud environment at Anywhere365 and for implementing security measures within Azure in order to comply with industry standards, data privacy regulations, and security protocols.

Key experience & skills:

  1. Proven experience with managing, motivating, mentoring, and guiding technical staff to ensure professionalizing within a fast growing company;
  2. Cloud strategy alignment: has aligned cloud adaptation with business goals previously, and is able to articulate to (non-technical) stakeholders how cloud technologies contribute to organizational success;
  3. Proven experience in effectively communicating with business leaders, cross-functional teams, external partners and customers;
  4. Expert in ITIL process management and has proven experience in identifying and defining global uniform process, while being responsible for continuous improvement;
  5. Understanding of tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Pipelines for managing infrastructure. Understanding of networking (Azure networking services, incl. virtual networks, subnets, load balancers and DNS configurations);
  6. Azure cloud expertise: understands how to create, manage, and optimize Azure resources using tools like Azure CLI, Azure Portal, and Azure Resource Management (ARM) templates and has knowledge of Azure security practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance;
  7. Previously optimized resource usage while managing costs and ensuring high availability with cloud.
