Position Summary

This is a remote position where you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely filings for all global income tax compliance, tax filings, payments, documentation, and compiling international reporting for Mashgin. Mashgin has clients in multiple states and international clients all over the globe. You will be preparing financial accounting for income taxes and performing tax audit support. This position will support the sales tax process (Sales tax, VAT, GST/HST), as well as the income tax reporting (tax provision), income tax compliance, audit defense, and property tax compliance for the company

This is a 6 month, temporary position with a possibility for full time conversion. The Global Tax Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Finance.


You Will Be

  • Accurately reporting and paying Mashgin’s income tax liabilities to various income tax authorities and accurately reporting on income taxes on Mashgin’s financial statements
  • Providing the appropriate responses to documents and information requested by federal and state audits to the IRS
  • Managing the tax compliance process for assigned entities which include reviewing, supervising, and training in tax technical areas involving the preparation of complete and accurate federal and state income tax returns / work papers by internal due dates
  • Managing and reviewing fixed assets, credit analysis,
  • Keeping up to date with tax legislation, SEC Regulations, and GAAP changes, practice and global developments
  • Collaborating and engaging with sales, finance, and hardware teams in relation to all tax matters
  • Establishing tax policies for new countries as the business expands internationally

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 7+ years of tax provision experience with a major multinational corporation, Big 4 firm, or equivalent
  • This position requires significant tax provision and compliance technical subject matter expertise, extensive experience in identifying and resolving complex issues, and superior tax quantitative and reporting skills
  • Experience must include preparing, reviewing, and supervising staff in the preparation of federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations and capability of application in new situations
  • Strong knowledge of International tax laws including: EU and Japan
  • Experience in a hardware startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with foreign tax credit and international tax rules
