About the Role:

CrowdStrike is looking for a talented GoLang Software Developer to join our growing Production Systems Automation & Development team. As a software developer, you will be focused on the creation and refinement of tools to enhance the automations that deploy and manage CrowdStrike’s cloud-based infrastructure.  This candidate will play a key role in architecting and implementing a stable, scalable and flexible production environment.  One focus of this position will be to ensure that the team delivers code that is tuned for the scalability and survivability necessary in CrowdStrike’s expanding ecosystem.

What You'll Do:

  • Work as part of a dynamic engineering team to implement new software designs and functionality based upon clearly defined and agreed project requirements.
  • Be an energetic self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
  • Work with internal peers and business partners to analyze requirements and craft elegant, robust, and reliable solutions to solve complex technical problems.  From concept to completion, our engineers are involved in every step!
  • Engage with other engineers to review code and to share best practices. You will be asked to raise the technical IQ of the team by being passionate about learning and sharing the newest technologies & tricks with others.
  • Take an active role to own your personal workload and tasks. You are empowered to set your own pace and tell us what can be delivered (and when).
  • Be vigilant about streamlining and simplifying both business processes and development code to ensure minimal friction throughout our solutions.
  • Represent the development team as a technical leader both vertically and horizontally across workgroups.

What You'll Need:

  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident (clearance is not required).
  • Have significant professional experience utilizing Golang to write/debug/optimize scripts or applications for automation, tooling, dashboards, and/or alarms.
  • Experience working within a large-scale production environment and developing/troubleshooting applications across functional teams.
  • Proven success analyzing and optimizing back end technical performance throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated passion for learning new systems and methodologies combined with advanced troubleshooting skills and superb quality control habits.
  • Fluency with debugging toolsets and leveraging log/event management tools such as Falcon LogScale (formerly Humio) or Splunk.
  • Understanding of common network management protocols and APIs such as SNMP, RCMP+, or RedFish. Talent at developing and integrating APIs using REST, GraphQL, or SOAP.
  • Experience designing schemas and improving SQL queries for an RDBMS such as MySQL or Postgres.
  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to make good, timely decisions.
  • Familiar with developing and using CI/CD pipelines and with creating and leveraging automated unit/acceptance tests. Skilled using container orchestration systems (such as Docker or Kubernetes) and version control systems (such as git).
  • A strong focus on security when developing/reviewing code or systems.
  • A passion for documentation and a desire to constantly improve knowledge transfer across teams through artifacts such as SRE runbooks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude that excels both working independently and collaborating as part of a team.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience utilizing the Twelve-Factor App methodology.
  • Familiar with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Alertmanager
  • Experience working with large-scale bare-metal hardware in a data center environment.
  • Familiarity designing authentication/authorization or automated auditing solutions.
  • Experience implementing tracing and metrics within systems using OpenTracing and Prometheus.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $130,000 - $205,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
