About the Graphic Designer position

We are Design in DC, a boutique digital agency whose goal is to produce outstanding work and deliver quantifiable results. We're glad to be based in Washington, D.C., where the magic happens. We pride ourselves on being at the vanguard of new trends and technologies to create impactful digital solutions. We know that no two projects—or clients—are alike; therefore, all our projects are custom-made and tailored to fit them. We believe that every person and company should have access to a strong online presence. That's why we love working with clients across all industries. And we have the experience to prove it!

This role is a contractor remote-only position. We invite people from all over the world to apply. We love digital nomads, and we want you to feel free to work wherever you desire at the moment.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer with a robust portfolio that demonstrates experience in the digital landscape, either as a freelancer or as part of an agency. Talent and work done triumph over credentials, and we mean that.

Essential responsibilities that you will have…

  • Create visually captivating designs for print and digital mediums, effectively communicating brand messages.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to understand design requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Maintain consistency in design aesthetics and stay updated with design trends and emerging technologies.
  • Manage projects, present concepts, and incorporate client feedback to refine designs and ensure high-quality deliverables.

At least you should have this…

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, proficient in print and digital design, with a strong emphasis on typography, branding, and print-related projects such as book design, pamphlets, reports, and infographics.
  • Expertise in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, and a solid understanding of design principles, best practices, and brand identity development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail while delivering exceptional designs that align with brand guidelines.

Please include this when contacting us…

  • A CV that lists the relevant skills (ideally without the fluff)
  • A few examples that showcase your talent (the more, the better)

And here’s what we offer…

  • 100% remote work. We appreciate the office, but we also love to travel. You're free to be wherever you want to be as long as you have a stable internet connection. In fact, you're invited to join us on our trips.
  • Constant learning and professional growth. We're not just saying it. We believe everyone has a sweet spot between complacency and growth, and we want all our teammates to be right there.
  • We offer a balanced work environment. Work is just a part of your day and life, and we understand that. We want people to take breaks, and we respect boundaries. Creativity and inspiration don't happen only within office hours, so we give you a flexible schedule as well.
