The Graphic designer conceptualizes storyboard information and then relays it with creative illustrations and graphical elements into comprehensive layouts for animation with the goal of enhancing the learner’s ability to grasp the information. The individual in this role can/will create original artwork and consistently research e-learning and design trends to keep the courses fresh year after year. The graphic designer has a good eye for detail when reviewing assets for consistency throughout development and also helps oversee production and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates effectively with a creative team
  • Works with the instructional designer’s content to create graphics that reflect the objectives clearly
  • Creates original artwork assets for use in content
  • Develops storyboard layouts incorporating VO
  • Preps images for animation and course development
  • Works with in house animator or an animation vendor to create visually effective motion graphics
  • Creates course collateral materials
  • Prepares and packages graphic assets for localization vendors
  • Reviews layouts and assets for consistency
  • Work effectively within deadlines
  • Prepare and package graphic assets for use on the web
  • Take an active role in creating and supporting content that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive as outlined in the KnowBe4 DEI statement.
  • Ensure content is Web Content Accessible Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) compliant so that our content is accessible to all users

Requirements:

  • BA, BFA or comparable work/life experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience
  • Full knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
  • Experience in creating training guides, educational materials, infographics and graphic animations
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to give clear feedback to other team members
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
