Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer ideates and executes impactful visual designs based on strategic insights across a variety of internal and external communications on the Pax8 Marketing team. Their goal is to help our audiences understand our values quickly and efficiently in a persuasive manner. The Designer maintains our high design standards and Pax8 brand integrity for all materials and advocates for the value of design.

In the role of a conceptual thinker and strategy-focused creative, they participate in brainstorming sessions and creative concepting, are comfortable taking on opportunities and work with existing creative and templates to meet our marketing objectives.

The ideal candidate for this role has developed visual identities, worked across a variety of mediums, can own projects from start to finish, and is naturally adaptive and agile. A passion for design, and learning, and a constant curiosity for new trends, techniques, tools, and best practices are important. This role sits within the in-house Design team but works very closely across other internal teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and create designs for print, digital, and social that take strategic business and user objectives, brand guidelines, and industry trends into account working together with different cross-functional teams (e.g., guides, banners, emails, social ads, presentations, web-image assets).
  • Maintain brand consistency with proactive quality control across deliverables and media.
  • Brainstorm and contribute to the ideation of digital marketing campaigns, brand strategies, merchandise, and web properties.
  • Optimize design processes and maintain a strong organizational focus on brand templates, toolkits, and libraries.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least five (5) years of experience designing brand and marketing communications in an in-house, corporate, or agency setting.
  • Advanced level in Adobe CC (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and a working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
  • Basic knowledge of Figma.
  • Expert with core elements of design such as typography, layout, color, and image composition having advanced knowledge of image retouching and color correction.
  • Strong collaboration skills with team members and across departments throughout the life cycle of a project while managing feedback efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment being able to adapt and pivot quickly.
  • Strong communicator at all levels in the organization.
  • Fluent design understanding across print, environmental, motion, and digital touchpoints knowing production and brand guidelines’ best practices across media.
  • Proactive self-starter with patience, perseverance, and efficient time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate the strategic idea behind their concept and design.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S./B.F.A. in a related field (e.g., graphic design, digital design, visual communication, or other design-related fields) or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $77,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
