Job Mission

Our mission is to accelerate the restoration of the world's forests to capture carbon and combat climate change. As a part-time Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in visually communicating our message and engaging our audience. Your creative expertise will help us produce compelling visual content that supports our initiatives and highlights our progress. By joining our team, you will contribute to our mission by creating impactful designs that promote awareness and drive engagement for forest restoration and sustainability. Depending on company needs, there is the opportunity for this to become a full-time position.

You will work part-time (approximately 15 - 20 hours per week) through December 2024.

Location: Remote; US preferred. Need to be able to work 5 hours of overlap in Pacific Timezone

Salary:  $30 - $45 per hour at 15-20 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Edit and create slide decks to effectively communicate our mission and projects.
  • Create short videos from existing video and photo content to showcase our work.
  • Design flyers and posters for various campaigns and events.
  • Handle business card requests to ensure consistent branding.
  • Create images and graphics for social media banners and newsletters.
  • Layout newsletters to ensure visually appealing and effective communication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communications preferred, or Associate’s degree with related work.
  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign.
  • Experience with video editing tools preferred, such as After Effects or Premiere.
  • Strong sense of creativity and ability to tell a story through visual elements.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for climate change solutions and sustainability.
