Graphic Designer
The Role
Yoshi is looking to add a graphic designer our growing creative team. This is a an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment, contribute to a small and nimble creative team, and have an immediate impact.
Founded in 2015, the mission of Yoshi is to make car ownership as frictionless as possible. Yoshi delivers automovitive mobility services (fuel, ev charging, wash, maintenance) to customers’ vehicles where they are parked.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Work with team members from other Yoshi departments to clarify requirements on incoming design requests
- Rapidly create digital assets for use by other Yoshi departments
- Create designs compatible for various print mediums (paper, vinyl, merchandise, etc) and work with print houses and vendors to ensure a quality end result
- Contribute to design conversations with the creative team (offering and receiving feedback)
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in graphic design (or equivalent professional experience)
- Portfolio of digital and print designs
- Strong experience and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Strong proficiency with typography
- Strong proficiency with image manipulation and editing
- Experience with designing both digital and print collateral
- Experience working with print houses and merchandise vendors to ensure a quality realization of your design in the real world
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing demands for your time
- Bonus: Experience using Slack & Zoom for team communication
- Bonus: Experience with web design (HTML & CSS)
- Bonus: Experience with UX design concepts and UX design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc)
- Bonus: Experience designing for vehicle vinyl wraps
- Bonus: Experience with photography and/or video
