Position Overview:

Zenni Optical, a leading online eyewear company, is currently looking to add a new Graphic Designer to our internal design team. In this role, you will use your creative skill sets to communicate ideas, inform customers, and solve problems. In order to fulfill design requirements from all departments within the company, you will collaborate closely with fellow Graphic Designers, Copywriters, and various other team members. With your acute attention to detail and outstanding organizational abilities, you will also ensure the consistency of our vision across various platforms and campaigns. What we want you to own in this role:

  • Conceptualize, design, and deliver a wide range of print and digital assets to enhance our brand presence
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and adherence to our brand guidelines, actively promoting the value of exceptional design within the team and beyond
  • Collaborate in brainstorming sessions and execute captivating digital designs for all product launches, ensuring cohesive typefaces and layouts.
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications, timelines and budget restrictions
  • Forge close and collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including Creative Managers, Copywriters, and business leaders across the company
  • Experience working with medium to large cross-functional teams
  • Provide valuable support in the development of Performance Marketing assets, as well as diverse collateral and production files for our Retail team
  • Contribute to a diverse array of cross-functional projects by creating collaborative materials, and event collateral.
  • Work with a wide range of media and use standard design software, including the Adobe Suite and Figma
  • Provide clear guidance and constructive feedback to enhance the quality of product photography through retouching techniques.
  • Familiarity with retouching and manipulation of images
  • Possibility to work closely with Art Directors to help plan and produce select photo shoots
  • Prepare comprehensive pre-production documents for small-scale shoots and offer valuable support for larger-scale shoots when necessary.
  • Periodically create motion-based assets

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years in professional graphic design and equipped with a bachelor's degree in fine arts, communication design, or a related field
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, Figma
  • Prior use of Jira project management system or similar software
  • An effective communicator and collaborator when working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web and well-versed in design, fashion, editorial, film, technology, and retail trends,.
  • A proactive problem solver who can adapt quickly and meet deadlines and is confident in discussing your work and design execution
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Sketch, InDesign, Figma and other creative software

As of 08/15/2023, the expected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 USD. Actual pay within this range will be based upon several factors, including without limitation education, work experience, certifications, geographic pay differentials, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. The Company anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and, therefore, the Company retains the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for the position for various reasons, including the Company’s business needs.
