Senior Graphic Designer

Position Overview

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in the creation of various assets for both print and digital collateral, with a primary focus on ecommerce materials. Working within brand guidelines, you will bring creativity and innovation to design compelling visual elements that elevate our marketing efforts. Your ability to maintain high-quality standards while ensuring efficiency will contribute to the overall success of our marketing initiatives.

Collaborating with multiple departments, you will prioritize and manage projects to meet design specifications and budget restrictions, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on schedule. As an integral part of the Final Draft marketing team, you will actively shape the look and feel of our brand, solidifying our position as the industry-standard screenwriting software.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and design a wide range of materials for digital collateral, with a primary focus on ecommerce materials, including web pages, email marketing campaigns, social media graphics, and digital ads (60% of workload).
  • Create visually appealing assets for print collateral, such as brochures, flyers, posters, and event materials (20% of workload).
  • Perform retouching and image manipulation for marketing materials, ensuring visual consistency and enhancing overall aesthetics (15% of workload).
  • Collaborate with marketing managers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop creative solutions that align with marketing objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends and industry best practices, continuously seeking ways to elevate the visual impact of our marketing materials.
  • Assist in maintaining and evolving brand guidelines, ensuring consistent representation of the Final Draft brand across all materials.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) designs for our digital products and website.
  • Support the marketing team in creating compelling visuals for presentations and promotional materials.
  • Assist in managing and organizing a library of digital assets and design resources for easy access and reuse.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects and styles.
  • Solid knowledge of design principles, layout, typography, print, and web design.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive design to create engaging web materials.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD) and other relevant design tools.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or other marketing automation platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach to handling tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency in deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • A creative thinker with a passion for design, always seeking opportunities to push the boundaries and explore new ideas.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in UI/UX design and creating visually appealing user interfaces for digital products.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing tools for multimedia projects.
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles, enhancing the effectiveness of visual content in the online space.

Special Work Conditions    

  • Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

The compensation range for this position is:

$70,000—$90,000 USD
