Graphics Designer/Art Director 2
Play a pivotal role in crafting innovative graphic solutions across a diverse range of projects and media. Utilizing your expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software, you'll bring ideas to life that align with business objectives and elevate our brand identity.
How you will make an impact
- Collaborate closely with Creative Directors and design teams to brainstorm ideas and develop strategic concepts.
- Transform strategic direction into visually stunning designs that adhere to brand guidelines and express our company's identity across various materials, including web pages, presentations, collateral, signage, and more.
- Employ core design principles and trend knowledge to execute concepts effectively, ensuring alignment, typography, hierarchy, consistency, balance, and color harmony.
- Manage the design process from conception to completion, including maintenance and uploading of project materials, while adhering to established best practices.
- Provide valuable process feedback and innovative problem-solving approaches to management, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with creative management and marketing clients to understand requirements, gather feedback, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
- Act as a mentor to other designers, sharing expertise and fostering growth within the team.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers to achieve shared goals.
- Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by management.
Experience you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Understanding of both print and web production fundamentals.
- Deep knowledge in at least one creative discipline (e.g., web design, print design, video, motion graphics) and familiarity with at least two others.
- Strong organizational skills and time management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent facilitation and listening skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- 5-7 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a creative or marketing agency setting
Bonus Skills:
- Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and video editing software.
- Experience in areas such as advanced illustration, trade shows and events, color correction, print production, etc., supported by real-world examples.
- Eagerness and initiative to pursue ongoing education and training to further develop your skill set.
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
