Praytell is seeking a talented and experienced Group Design Director to join our creative team, who also has a keen passion and understanding of artificial intelligence and how to creatively leverage AI tools to propel Praytell ahead in this new era.
The Group Design Director is a senior-level position responsible for leading the design team to produce high-quality creative work for clients, as well as managing and advocating for the design team, ensuring and providing growth and opportunities to excel in their roles and encourage the use of new tools and technologies.
As a Group Design Director, you will:
- Lead and manage the design team: The Group Design Director is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team is motivated, engaged, and producing high-quality work.
- Develop and implement design solutions and strategies: The Group Design Director is responsible for developing and implementing design solutions and strategies that align with Praytell’s creative goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: The Group Design Director works closely with other departments, such as accounts, strategy, copy and production, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Maintain client relationships: The Group Design Director plays a key role in client relationships, collaborating with the account teams to ensure that clients are satisfied with our agency's creative work.
- Stay up-to-date with AI tools and design trends: The Group Design Director is responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure that Praytell’s creative work is innovative, relevant, and competitive.
- Provide creative direction: The Group Design Director provides creative direction to the design team, ensuring that all creative work is aligned with the agency's and clients' goals and objectives.
- Monitor project progress: The Group Design Director is responsible for monitoring the progress of all design projects, ensuring that they are on track and meet the agency's and clients' expectations.
- Participate in new business development: The Group Design Director plays an important role in new business development, collaborating with the new business team to develop and present proposals to potential clients.
Requirements
What You Have:
- As the Group Design Director, you must have 10+ years of experience in design-related roles; with a strong portion of that in managerial positions.
- You must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as PR, social + digital, strategy and accounts.
- You should also have hands-on experience and deep understanding of design principles, trends, and technologies, as well as experience managing a team of creative directors, art directors and designers.
