Group Product Manager

The Role:

As Group Product Manager, you will own our customer facing product and strategy. You should be experienced building enterprise products that drive MM in revenue. We’re looking for someone who can bring the best of enterprise SAAS to this rapidly emerging market.

Our customers include many of the world’s largest and most influential companies: Salesforce, BCG, and Shopify to name a few. Your product will showcase the select set of forest carbon projects that meet our strict quality criteria, and help our customers understand the details of our scientific analysis.

Location:

This role is remote. However, being within 3 hours of Pacific time is preferred for this role given cross-functional communication responsibilities.

Who We Are:

Carbon credits, particularly from forest preservation and regrowth projects, have taken a some criticism lately. Many projects are not as beneficial as they once seemed. Some offer no climate benefits at all. But there is no path to our global climate goals without forest restoration, and carbon credits are the best way to channel corporate funding toward those goals. So the world needs reliable tools to measure the true value of forest restoration projects and communicate that value to carbon credit buyers. Pachama is building those tools. Our core technology combines satellite imaging, drone scans, and AI analysis to measure carbon stored in forests.

What You Will Help Us With:

  • Product Strategy: Develop a comprehensive product strategy for our Carbon Marketplace, the tool that enterprise customers use to explore nature-based carbon projects and monitor their impact over time.
  • Feature Development: Lead end-to-end product development, from ideation to implementation, ensuring that new features meet user needs and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Customer Experience Enhancement: Elevate the customer experience by building visually stunning and engaging interfaces that captivate and engage users.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, design, and business development teams to prioritize and execute product initiatives effectively.
  • Standards Leadership & Advocacy: Represent our organization within carbon market standards bodies, actively shaping new carbon credit issuance and verification protocols to ensure alignment with our innovative solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, regulatory changes, and customer requirements in the carbon credit and carbon offset space.
  • Customer-Centric Design: Implement customer-centered design principles, incorporating user feedback to create intuitive and impactful product experiences.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: Utilize your data visualization skills to provide insightful, visually compelling ways to present data and metrics to our users.
  • Metrics and Analytics: Define and track key performance metrics to measure the success and impact of product features, utilizing data-driven insights to guide product decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including project partners and customers, to gather feedback and build strong relationships.
  • Product Evangelism: Act as a subject matter expert, representing Pachama's product offerings in industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.

Experience & Skills We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of product management experience required.
  • Startup experience required.
  • Experience with at least one of these areas: machine learning, geospatial applications, enterprise SAAS products, financial technology (fintech).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience with agile product development methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable product enhancements.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and delivering high-impact results.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a desire to make a meaningful impact on the planet.

$197,900 - $203,000 a year

The salary range for this position is $197,900 USD to $203,000 USD. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary for each posting reflects the compensation for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The position is also eligible for equity.
