The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Product Manager to oversee our AP Automation product. As the Group Product Manager, you will have ownership of our core product, including defining the long-term vision, setting tactical plans, driving execution, and leading a team of product managers. This role offers an opportunity to help thousands of businesses leverage AI in their Accounts Payable process.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Act as the product owner, defining the long-term vision and setting day-to-day tactics for delivering excellent customer experiences in AP Automation. Own the core AP Automation product and drive its success.
- Strategic Planning: Translate the product vision and strategy into tactical plans, incorporating innovation into the product and plans. Lead and influence internal teams to execute on those plans.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research and competitive intelligence to identify market and product opportunities. Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate insights into the product roadmap and strategy.
- Metrics and Analytics: Define, measure, and improve key product metrics. Leverage data and analytics to drive decisions, features, strategy, and customer experience enhancements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build effective relationships, communicate, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Gather and translate requirements, communicate plans, and ensure alignment and execution.
- Product Rollout and Release: Oversee product rollout and release plans, including testing, training materials, and last-minute decision-making. Ensure successful and timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Customer Feedback and Improvement: Collaborate with operations to gather and analyze customer feedback, understand customer needs, and drive future product improvements.
- Presentations and Alignment: Present recommendations, decisions, and accompanying analyses to senior leadership and the Board of Directors. Build alignment and gain buy-in for product strategies and initiatives.
- Complex Product Issues: Manage complex product issues by quickly analyzing problems and providing recommendations that inform roadmap priorities and address the needs of clients and key stakeholders.
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team of product managers. Provide coaching and mentorship to foster their growth and success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other teams to deliver products. Lead and coordinate teams, manage stakeholders, and work cross-functionally in an agile environment.
- Additional Projects and Initiatives: Lead other projects, duties, and initiatives as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the company.
Ingredients
- Product Management Experience: 4+ years of experience in Product Management at an agile B2B SaaS company, with a proven track record of delivering successful products.
- AI-Driven Product Experience: 1+ years of experience managing an AI-driven SaaS product, leveraging AI technology to enhance product offerings.
- Leadership and Team Management: Prior experience as a leader, managing and developing a team of product managers. Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data, make data-driven decisions, and improve product metrics.
- Startup Environment: Prior experience in a fast-paced and ambiguous startup environment. Willingness to wear multiple hats and adapt to changing priorities.
- Remote Work Experience: Experience working effectively in a remote environment, with strong digital engagement, leadership, and communication skills.
- Accountability and Visibility: Comfortable with a highly visible role, including accountability in front of customers, senior/C-suite leaders, and the Board of Directors. Strong accountability for delivering results.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Skills: Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships
