What You’ll Do

We are seeking a seasoned entrepreneurial operations leader to lead our marketplace operations efforts. We are looking for somebody with a deep passion for working with children and a healthy obsession with delighting customers and operational excellence. In this job, your primary areas of responsibility will be:

  • Establish scalable processes, working across the entire business, to ensure that Togetherhood can continue to operate smoothly as it grows. This includes logistical processes for purchasing and distributing materials needed for each course.
  • Evolve our processes and algorithms for matching instructors with different teaching opportunities.
  • Scale Togetherhood into new metropolitan markets across the United States. Craft a playbook that ensures a scalable and repeatable process. Lead the distributed team that executes this playbook.
  • Lead our customer service and financial operations teams.
  • Conceptualize the operational metrics (KPIs) needed to drive key decisions within Togetherhood and build systems to ensure that these metrics are measured accurately and visible across the organization.

Who you are

  • You have 5+ years of experience in an operations role, ideally in a marketplace business. Bonus points for previous experience in a start up environment.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams.
  • You're driven by a desire to delight customers and deliver a consistently delightful customer experience.
  • You're analytical and metrics-oriented. You seek to measure because you seek to improve, whether it be through reports, dashboards, or complex ad hoc analyses.
  • You're a strategic thinker and communicator.
  • You're energized by ambiguity. You are excited by the idea that roadmap may change, because you will help build the roadmap. You are motivated by the opportunity to build the things that will help us scale, and you will ruthlessly prioritize the things that matter most.
