The role of the Head of Marketplace Operations:

The Head of Marketplace Operations is a crucial part of our business, focusing on sourcing and onboarding providers for our WeeCare Marketplace. This is a new role that will strategically develop and execute a comprehensive supply to create a balance of supply to meet the demand. You will also re-engage our current providers to understand their needs and address any concerns they may have to ensure their continued success with WeeCare.

In this role, you will:

  • Awareness: Your first step is understanding our business from the marketplace point of view. You will learn how we operate the marketplace from both the demand and supply sides, but your focus will be on the supply side. Learn how we currently bring on new daycare providers to continue to grow supply and understand how things are going for our current daycare providers.
  • Acquisition: WeeCare is experiencing a tremendous amount of growth. You will need to develop a strategy to acquire new providers based on what is coming down from our sales team, being able to bring on providers in certain markets proactively so there is care available in those areas. In addition, the strategy will need to focus on both short-term and long-term sustainable growth.
  • Onboarding: This includes overseeing the onboarding process for new providers, providing training and support, managing performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Re-Engagement: Evaluate the current needs of our providers in the marketplace and develop a strategy to help re-engage them, understand their needs, and how we can assist them for their continued success as WeeCare daycares.
  • Market Trends: The Director of Marketplace will need to stay up-to-date with industry trends, monitor competitor activity, and use data and insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Cross-Functionally: You will work with our sales team and business development team to proactively build supply in targeted cities where we will need to bring on new daycare providers so our clients’ employees have daycares to utilize for their childcare benefits.
  • Managing: You have a team in place to help execute your strategy to bring on new providers and re-engage our current providers.
  • Communication: Based on your strategy, you will create, develop and communicate to new and existing providers using webinars, email, and other forms of communication to continue the marketplace's success.

We are looking for candidates who have the following experience:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience managing supply or demand (supply preferred) in a multi-faceted strategic, operational, or growth role with significant project management responsibilities.
