Role Overview:
As an HR Coordinator at AeroVect, you will manage key human resources functions, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, and benefits administration, while ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can handle HR administration and support financial operations to keep the team running smoothly.
What You'll Do:
- Onboard new employees, including I9 verification and E-Verify, and set up company systems.
- Off-board exiting employees, including arranging severance, drafting termination letters, ensuring the return of company property, conducting exit interviews, and more.
- Administer benefits, primarily managing health insurance, and assist employees with benefits-related questions or concerns.
- Process payroll for both US & Canada (W2 and contractors, including international), and assist employees with any payroll issues.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to compensation, benefits, and payroll.
- Organize team events.
- Support Deployment Managers with airport badging, including collecting documents and preparing forms.
- Assist employees with employment visa documents.
- Coordinate travel for the AeroVect team and candidates.
- Handle general finance operations, including managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Provide ongoing administrative support to the leadership team on various HR and financial initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR and Finance roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of professional interaction with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, particularly Rippling.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with US immigration processes and related document preparation.
- Knowledge of labor law compliance, health and safety regulations, and benefits administration.
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
- SHRM HR certificate or related further education.
