This is not your typical HR department. Your work will matter, and you will be recognized for it. Your responsibilities will include employee onboarding and offboarding, new hire orientation, day to day employee relations and working with the HR Manager in development and administration of programs and policies.
What makes you a fit for this role?
- Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of all existing governmental and labor legal reporting requirements including any related to EEO laws, ADA laws, (FMLA), (ERISA), (DOL).
- Demonstrated experience with employee relations, new hire training, onboarding and off boarding procedures
- Experience with HRIS software and employee database tools, including gathering and analyzing useful HR metrics
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Works well under pressure and quick to adapt to changing situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Enjoy working collaboratively in a spirit of cooperation
- PHR, or SHRM-CP is not required, but is preferred
Compensation and benefits:
- This is a non-exempt position with salary range of $31 - $36 per hour, varying DOE. Compensation may be adjusted for those who live in areas with a higher cost of labor than Portland, OR
- 401(k) profit sharing plan; immediate vesting of employer contributions
