Job Summary:

Aptive is seeking an experienced Associate/General Consultant to work collaboratively within a team to help drive the project forward and provide project management and client communication skills in support of one of our VEO projects.

The Veterans Experience Office (VEO) serves to assess the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) operational performance from the perspective of its customers. Aptive supports VEO with Human Centered Design to understand VA’s customers and how they interact with VA as it exists today in order to improve VA products, applications, and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support project meetings and conference calls for assigned projects, workgroups and teams (to include scheduling, reserving conference rooms, issuing invitations, developing the agenda and recording minutes)
  • Schedule, coordinate, take meeting minutes, monitor, track and report on stakeholder interviews
  • Provide administrative and programmatic support to include, but not limited to, attending, facilitating and coordinating a variety of meetings; providing documentation and technical writing support; developing and maintaining a research report; assisting in the development of project roadmaps; and tracking of and reporting on overall program activities and issues
  • Support risk management and quality assurance efforts across the project
  • Assist with research and analysis activities such as data analysis, enterprise studies, reports, benchmarking, assessment reports, development of key performance indicators and more
  • Assist in developing external briefing materials for a variety of stakeholders
  • Create reports, metrics and tracking mechanisms and provide analysis to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate and consolidate status report information on a weekly and monthly timeframe

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of program analysis or consultant experience, preferrably with a Human Centered Design focus
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience supporting large, complex federal agencies (ideally Department of Veterans Affairs or Department of Defense)
  • Ability to interact and engage with executive-level stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
