Who You Are
Brightwheel is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to join the People team. As the HR Operations Specialist, you’ll support both our HRBP and People Operations teams administering all aspects of the employee lifecycle - from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. You are process oriented and enjoy highly tactical HR work. You can execute logistics at lightning speed and with a high degree of precision. With general expertise in compliance, benefits, and HR policy you’re able to connect employees to resources and information. You are familiar with HR software for leave management and performance management, and have experience managing an HRIS.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and manage employee and organizational data in Rippling, our HRIS
- Process employee lifecycle transitions, such as onboarding, offboarding, and internal transfers
- Assist with the administration of employee leaves of absence using Cocoon, our leave management software
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits (medical/dental/vision) and perks
- Answer employee questions related to benefits and leave policies
- Schedule and coordinate People Team-led events, such as new hire orientation and performance calibration sessions
- Implement process and policy changes
Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities
- 2-3 years of experience providing direct administrative or operational support to an HR or People Team
- Admin experience managing an HRIS such as Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, ADP, etc.
- Experience handling sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality, discernment, and judgment
- Experience directly supporting employees through HR lifecycle processes
- Knowledge of HR compliance and regulations as it relates to benefits, workplace accommodations, and leaves of absence
- Familiarity with communication and productivity tools for remote work, such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, etc.
$52,000 - $94,000 a year
Brightwheel is committed to internal pay equity and offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary, equity, and benefits. For cash compensation, brightwheel sets standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Multiple factors determine final offer amounts, including geographic location, candidate experience, and expertise.
