Job Description

The Income Tax Senior Analyst is primarily responsible for the preparation of Vericast’s consolidated U.S. federal and state income tax estimates and returns. The role reports to the Tax Manager and supervises a staff and intern pool of six. This is a full-time employee position open to anyone in the United States.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates and prepares Vericast Corp. & Subs. approximately 175 federal and state income corporate tax returns and various gross receipts tax returns within a compliance team of 12 
  • Estimates quarterly state tax payments, year-end state tax payments and state extension payments 
  • Depending on skills and workload, manages or participates in federal and state income tax and franchise tax audits 
  • Assists Tax Manager and Senior Tax Manager with income tax provision and related financial reporting for audited annual and quarterly financial statements related to Vericast Corp.’s public debt 
  • Under supervision of Tax Leadership, participates in maintaining critical tax attributes including share tax basis, earnings and profits and foreign tax credit data
  • Completes tax planning projects designated by Tax leadership and participates in various Vericast multifunctional process and product improvement teams 

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics or related subject (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Tax or Accounting and CPA or Enrolled Agent designation (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • Two or more years of corporate federal and multistate income tax preparation in a public accounting firm environment, including unitary and combined returns

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong grasp of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Base Salary: $80,000- $110,000

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
