Inside Sales Representative

Description

Seeq is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Executive to join a high-performing team focused on mid-market customers worldwide. In this role, you will focus on selling our advanced analytics solutions to mid-market industrial companies with a specific industry focus on pharmaceuticals, power generation, oil and gas, chemicals, and food and beverage.

Your primary objectives will revolve around new pipeline creation and annual recurring revenue, where you will play a crucial role in driving our business growth and expanding our customer base. As this is a newly formed team, you will also have the opportunity to help build out and evolve how we go to market. The position reports to Seeq’s Regional VP of Midmarket, reflecting the importance of the role.

Requirements

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Prospect and qualify potential mid-market industrial companies within the pharmaceuticals, power generation, oil and gas, chemicals, and food and beverage industries. 
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the industries, including market trends, competitors, and key players, to effectively position our advanced analytics solution. 
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify prospects, understand their business needs, and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements. 
  • Engage with decision-makers, such as executives, directors, and managers, within target companies to build relationships and drive sales opportunities. 
  • Initiate outbound calls, emails, and other communication methods to present our solution, highlight its benefits, and address customer inquiries. 
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and collaborate with Seeq analytics engineers to deliver product demonstrations, highlighting the value of our advanced analytics solution in solving customer challenges and driving business outcomes. 
  • Collaborate closely with our sales and analytics engineering teams to strategize and align on account-specific sales plans, ensuring a unified approach to targeting mid-market industrial companies. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status using our CRM system. 
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on sales progress, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts. 
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, technological advancements, and competitor activities to continuously enhance product knowledge and maintain a competitive edge. Work with leadership to create and evolve sales playbooks to constantly improve our GTM efforts. 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is good to have but not required.
  • Proven track record of success in inside sales or a similar role, preferably within the industrial sector, targeting mid-market companies. 
  • Strong knowledge, understanding, and/or deep curiosity in the pharmaceutical, power generation, oil and gas, chemicals, and food and beverage industries, including their unique challenges and requirements. 
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics solutions and their applications within industrial settings is highly desirable. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts and influence decision-makers.  
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with customers, establishing trust and rapport to drive long-term partnerships. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. 
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track customer interactions, pipelines, and revenue. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, conferences, and industry events, as required.
