Investment Sourcing Lead
Ten Oaks is the pre-eminent family office investing exclusively in corporate carve-outs and business divestitures. Please note that this is not an execution role, the role is primarily focused on sourcing carve-out transactions.
Position
Having closed 12 deals over the past 12 months and on track to significantly increase transaction deal flow, Ten Oaks is seeking a highly driven and motivated Investment Sourcing Lead to join our world-class team. As an Investment Sourcing Lead, your primary role will be focused on sourcing and qualifying investment opportunities and supporting the team throughout the life cycle of the investment process.
Principal Responsibilities
- Identify and source corporate carve-out investments that align with Ten Oak’s investment thesis
- Analyze public and private companies to identify prospective divestiture investment opportunities
- Evaluate and synthesize information to ensure that Ten Oaks is best positioned in the context of the transaction
- Conduct outreach and effectively communicate the Ten Oaks value proposition to M&A / Corporate Development professionals and other stakeholders at prospective partner organizations
- Build long lasting relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Day-to-day interactions with client management teams, transaction counterparties, senior deal team members and other advisors
- Maintain internal databases of potential acquisition targets and precedent transactions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking (corporate finance & capital markets), private equity and principal investing, professional services (consulting), corporate development or related fields. Business development, institutional sales, relationship management professionals may be considered. Experience of interacting with senior decision makers at large organizations is essential
- Highly self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and think ‘outside the box’
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships throughout prospective organizations at the most senior levels
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team orientated environment with minimal instruction
- Strong desire to have ‘skin in the game’ and equity opportunities in sourced transactions
- Strong knowledge of publicly listed companies and large private organizations as well as underlying value drivers
- Foreign language skills are advantageous
Base salary compensation with exceptional equity incentive potential in sourced transactions. The role is 100% remote, with the possibility of starting immediately.
