Symmetrio is recruiting an IT Systems Administrator for its client, a multi-national medical device company. As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for our client's software product implementations, migrations and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying, supporting and troubleshooting complex and diverse IT applications in a healthcare environment, and experience with configuration of various firewall, VPN, network and cloud solutions (Azure / AWS). Candidates must have experience providing infrastructure support to EMR / Oncology / Clinical applications. This is a contract position with competitive compensation, healthcare benefits and 401k retirement plan (4% match after 6 months). 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with both client internal teams and its customer’s clinical and IT stakeholders to understand the client’s infrastructure and provide guidance on the necessary changes or adjustments needed for specialized oncology software implementation and operation. 
  • Resolve any technical issues that may arise during and after the implementation process of specialized oncology software. 
  • Ensure seamless network communication for the successful integration of specialized oncology software into the client’s existing systems and software, including, but not limited to: 
  1. SQL Servers
  2. Citrix
  3. Virtualization
  4. Hardware (Workstations, Servers, Firewalls, and Routers)
  5. Microsoft Azure 
  6. DICOM Applications / Equipment 
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve service delivery. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • Proven experience in supporting and troubleshooting complex IT applications in a healthcare or medical device setting. 
  • Proficiency in managing SQL Server, healthcare software, Windows OS, DICOM, Citrix, Microsoft Azure and various hardware components. 
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with managing internal networks. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. 
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Experience in creating knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
