Job Description:
The IT Systems Security Administrator will be responsible for securing our computing systems and establishing a secure remote work environment for our staff. This role involves setting up and managing a company VPN, implementing security measures, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting security-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT security and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, configure, and manage the company's VPN
- Implement and maintain software and hardware security systems
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot security issues
- Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems for remote staff
- Perform regular system upgrades to implement the latest security measures
- Plan and manage disaster recovery procedures related to security breaches
- Provide technical support and guidance to users on security protocols
- Maintain documentation of configurations, repairs, and upgrades
- Conduct regular system audits to identify potential security risks
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure secure and efficient operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role with a focus on IT security.
- Experience with VPN setup and management, databases, networks, and patch management.
- Knowledge of system security, data backup/recovery, and privacy protocols.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in either Spanish or Portuguese
