Jr. Business Analyst - Smartsheet
Clearance Requirement:
The client requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a USDA clearance. The USDA clearance requires fingerprinting an eQIP, and a background investigation.
Project Overview
The Jr. Business Analyst will support the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) using an Agile Scrum methodology to support the USDA NRCS Operational Excellence Plan. The ideal candidate for this position is a hard-working experienced individual who can excel in a fast-paced government contractor environment. The USDA NRCS Operational Excellence Plan team supports the modernization of project tracking across NRCS. This team also provides strategic support to all deputy areas and divisions in building out their special projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for process mapping of current Op Ex business processes and future states
- Provide business requirements collection, documentation, and analysis
- Support various activities such as COTS solution configuration and development; data gap analysis and clean up; and process definition and comprehensive mapping
- Support scrum teams developing user stories
- Maintain current knowledge of IT systems and industry technologies as they relate to government business needs
- Exercise quality control over documents intended for distribution
- Attend meetings and/or interview subject matter experts engaged in software development projects to acquire and synthesize information to develop documentation
- Work with business analysts and developers to produce high-quality documentation for end-users
- Support training and adoption efforts for Op Ex program users and stakeholders
- Update and maintain existing tools and processes after delivery of the initial product
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Business, Information Technology, or any related field
- 2+ years of experience utilizing Smartsheet
- Experience working with large and complex data sets and able to write simple queries to create calculated fields
- Experience developing, designing, and maintaining Smartsheet dashboards.
- Be familiar with writing extensive calculations utilizing various syntax within Smartsheet
- Hands-on working experience in the configuration, customization, and implementation of SaaS applications
- Ability to successfully manage customer engagements to complete projects to provide customer satisfaction
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to provide a quick resolution to problems
- Exceptional verbal and written organizational, presentation, and communication skills
- Must be customer-service oriented and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, and initiative
- Demonstrable success in thinking strategically and executing tactically while providing consistent and high levels of customer satisfaction and retention in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of automation development to streamline work processes
