Quadrant (an Appen Company) is searching for a talented Junior Data Scientist to join its team in the Information Technology and Services industry. This individual will contribute to a groundbreaking platform for collecting and verifying Point-of-Interest (POI) data across Asia. The successful candidate will work with a team of skilled developers, engineers, and designers to engineer and create a cutting-edge intelligent system to analyze geospatial, food delivery, mapping, ride-sharing, and many other attributes.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to develop machine learning models for data analysis.
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and implementation of machine learning algorithms.
  • Train, test, and optimize data models using statistical and machine learning approaches.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using various frameworks and data management tools.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to produce actionable insights that improve the efficiency of the developed model.
  • Design and implement data validation and verification processes to ensure data quality.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in machine learning and related technologies such as generative AI and make recommendations for future enhancements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in machine learning or data analysis, data science experience
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or other related languages.
  • Hands on and knowledge executing in cloud computing such as AWS and/or GCP
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks and algorithms, such as TensorFlow, pyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Experience working with big data and distributed computing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Independent and proactiveness, constant learner and curiosity
