Junior DevOps Engineer

Position Summary
Native is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer with 1-2 years of DevOps experience and 3-4 years in IT/infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who excels in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building and maintaining scalable infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams and various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.
- Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive analysis to identify and resolve infrastructure and application issues at their root cause.
- Observability: Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Container Management: Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring their stability, security, and scalability. Utilize tools like Kustomize for configuration management and optimize cluster performance.
- Cloud Services: Utilize AWS or other major cloud platforms to design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure.
- Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, and manage deployments with ArgoCD/GitOps practices.
- Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain scripts in Bash or Python to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Assist in the development and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to streamline software delivery.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- 1-2 years of DevOps experience
- 3-4 years of total experience in IT or infrastructure roles
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with observability tools: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Kustomize and Helm
- Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with ArgoCD / GitOps is a plus.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
Soft Skills:
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis
- Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is a significant advantage.
- Additional Skills:
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
- Understanding of security best practices in infrastructure and deployment.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
