Job Description
Our product teams at Merkle are passionate about building products that directly affect people's lives. As a UI Designer, you will work with both the design team and our development teams to produce engaging, intuitive, enjoyable user experiences for end-users. Reporting to the Group Creative Director, you participate in product discovery and delivery. You work with our clients to understand their needs and with end-users to understand their goals. Working with the Product Owner, you help develop a product vision on projects that will focus on dynamic work ranging from platform design to e-commerce, with expanding opportunities as the account grows. You craft product solutions and present them to the design team, the development team, end-users, and partners, to collect feedback and iterate toward the best solution. You establish patterns and create familiar experiences that reduce the end-user's cognitive load.
Responsibilities
- Understand product specifications and user psychology
- Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback
- Proactively identify and pursue design opportunities within and across products
- Learn and grow on a large global client and collaborate with internal and external partners
- Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
- Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g., usability, findability)
- Work with UX designers to implement attractive designs to create diverse impactful work
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers
- Remain current on competitor products and industry trends
- Advance a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role
- A current portfolio of design projects
- Proficient in visual design and prototyping tools programs such as Adobe Photoshop, XD, Figma, and Sketch
- Knowledge of human-centered design craft
- Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategies and technologies
- Account for challenges and want to improve data for the best possible outcome
- Experience creating storyboards and website mapping
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
- Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
- Excellent collaboration and skills
- Experience building relationships with many cross-functional partners
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000-83,000. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job-related qualifications, and geography.
