As the Lead Game Designer at Omeda Studios, you'll direct the design of Predecessor, our action MOBA. Your expertise in MOBA mechanics, Live Ops, and free-to-play models will shape our game's direction. You will guide a skilled team, merging creativity with analytics to craft a compelling and profitable gaming experience.
In This Role You Will
- Oversee the game design team, providing direction, inspiration, and mentorship.
- Design and iterate on core game mechanics to deepen player engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Live Ops strategies that align with user expectations and business goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to craft a fair and engaging free-to-play economy.
- Utilize analytics and player feedback to inform design decisions and ensure a data-driven approach to gameplay tuning and balance.
- Spearhead the creation and maintenance of design documentation.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years in a game design leadership role.
- Extensive game design experience in projects with MOBA elements, or a seasoned MOBA player with deep insights into the genre.
- Proven background in Live Ops and free-to-play economies, with a portfolio that includes commercially successful titles.
- Good understanding of the Unreal Engine, with an emphasis on multiplayer development.
- A strong analytical approach to game metrics and player data to drive decision-making.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for nurturing and growing junior and intermediate team members in a collaborative culture.
